They got ready together at the Lacemarket Hotel - highly recommend this by the way, my wife and I got ready together and it helps with any pre-wedding nerves. Le'Anne told me they'd originally planned to get ready at home, but Lee's sister gifted them a night at the hotel. "The hotel was close to the venue and had a lovely, slightly vintage character," she said, which honestly made my job easier - the space photographed beautifully.
Then they walked hand in hand through the Lace Market to their wedding. Just the two of them, strolling through Nottingham's historic quarter to meet their guests in the foyer at the Council House. Such a buzz for them to be congratulated by so many people on the way, they were beaming.

I live in Nottingham, and I'm absolutely here for more couples booking me when they're getting married in the city. Le'Anne and Lee's wedding at Nottingham Council House reminded me how much I love the city.
Actually, Le'Anne and I go way back. We met years ago at a pop-up store where she used to sell film cameras - so she already knew about my love for photography before I even went professional. "I loved how beautifully she captured candid moments, and just as importantly, I wanted someone I already knew and felt comfortable with," she told me.
They walked down the aisle together to Born Slippy (stellar choice!) and after an emotional ceremony their guests made their way to the reception at The Magic Garden, and we stayed behind for portraits.
We used the staircase, the elevator, the hallways - this building is an absolute dream for photography. Neo-baroque architecture, incredible light, and that sense of occasion you only get in a civic building with this much history. Le'Anne, Lee and I had chatted beforehand about the style of portraits they love and it was definitely more of an editorial vibe that I wanted to lean into. So we took our time to make these intentional and I didn't mind showing them the result on the back of the camera!

Le'Anne and Lee kept their prep and ceremony near Old Market Square, which made the whole day feel calmer. "We got married in summer, so the shorter the walk the better — no one wants to sweat off their glam before the main event."

Once inside the foyer at the council house, their guests greeted them and we made our way upstairs to the Tea Room for the ceremony. Le'Anne explained: "I've always loved wood and marble, which the space has in abundance. It also didn't feel like a typical registrar room, which we really wanted to avoid." They'd originally planned a smaller room for an intimate guest list, but when their plans evolved, the Tea Room let them include everyone while still feeling special.
