We can meet via a video call to see if you think I'm a good fit for you both & a 20% payment is taken if you'd like to go ahead and book. The balance is due 6 weeks before your Wedding day. if you're feeling shy I'm happy to keep comms to email only!
What happens next?
I aim to send a preview within 48 hours - because who wants to wait or have to use a mobile phone photo for announcements on socials and thank you cards?! Your final gallery will be edited and delivered in 6-10 weeks depending on the time of year.
WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
I love the term 'loose editorial', which is essentially a blend of a majority documentary approach, with an editorial twist where needed - usually for killer portraits. The documentary side means I'm capturing real moments, emotions, and the story of your day as it actually happens. The editorial twist means when we do portraits, they're going to look intentional, creative, and a bit more elevated than standard wedding photos. Think less stiff and formal, more relaxed and cool.
HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
Yes - My business holds Public Liability Insurance cover of £5M. If your venue requires, I am happy to share the certificate as proof of cover. I also have backup equipment and a network of trusted photographers who could step in if I were ill (though this has never happened and touch wood, never will).
ARE YOU INSURED? WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU'RE ILL?
Yes! I have a range of 35mm film cameras and a medium format Hasselblad if you fancy having a slower portrait session! I love to shoot film. I offer film photography alongside my digital photography but I'm also open to shooting your whole day on film - please get in touch to discuss.
Film gives you that nostalgic, timeless quality that's impossible to fully replicate digitally. If you're into that aesthetic, I'm absolutely here for it.
CAN YOU SHOOT OUR WEDDING ON FILM?
Honestly, most couples tell me this and it's never actually true in the end. I'm not going to make you do anything that feels weird or unnatural. We'll chat, walk around, I'll give you gentle prompts rather than rigid poses, and usually you forget I'm even there. The best photos happen when you're just being yourselves - I'm just there to capture it.
WHAT IF WE'RE AWKWARD IN PHOTOS!
I don't - I prefer to concentrate on delivering high quality still photographs, but I can recommend professional videographers to capture your day alongside me. A content creator is also a good option to work with your videographer and capture those behind-the-scenes moments and instant content for socials.
DO YOU OFFER VIDEO?
WHAT TIME WILL YOU ARRIVE/GO HOME?
As soon as you've set your date, honestly. I typically book up 12-18 months in advance, especially for peak season (May-September). If you've found a photographer whose work you love, don't risk them being booked - get in touch early.
WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK?
Way less than you think. I'm all about you actually enjoying your wedding day. Couple portraits are usually 15-20 minutes total and we'll do them when you're not going to miss anything. Group photos are quick and organised and we'll do these as efficiently as possible,. the rest of the time I'm just documenting your day as it unfolds. You won't feel like you're missing your own party.
HOW MUCH time will WE SPEND ON PHOTOS?
Most days are around 10 hours if it's a full day of coverage. But every wedding is different so we'll speak in the lead up to the wedding about timings for the day and I'll work myself around that. Usually I arrive during morning prep and when I feel like I've captured enough of the party I'll say goodbye, but I wont be counting down the minutes until 10 hours is up and disappearing! I don't want you to have to plan your day around when I'll be there!
How many shots will we receive?
This depends on your package and the length of coverage, but typically a full day is around 600+ images. I don't hold back on numbers - if there's a great shot, it's in your gallery. Quality over quantity, but I'm generous with what I deliver.
Can we see some full galleries?
Yes of course, I'm happy to share full galleries. I'd want you to see how I capture a wedding in full so that you know what to expect from me if we work together. This way you're not just seeing my "greatest hits" - you get to see the flow of a whole day, the variety of shots, everything.
